For a decade the Central City Business Improvement District worked closely with local and regional government agencies to build a roadway designed for maximum pleasure. It's a relaxing drive, with an easy grade, wide lanes and beautiful views, to an historic destination with something for everyone. You may even see big horn sheep, mule deer or elk in the meadows dotted with old abandoned mines. By adding this alternative route to the mountain gambling towns of Central City and Blackhawk, even more people can travel safely to explore the Old West or cozy up to an open slot machine at one of the casinos.
