- 5.5 million cubic yards of dirt and rock were moved to build the Central City Parkway. This is equivalent to approximately 10 million tons of rock and dirt. If all of the rock and dirt moved to build the parkway was loaded into standard dump trucks, it would fill 666,667 dump trucks. Parked bumper to bumper, this would make a train of dump trucks 3,157 miles long.
- At peak construction times, there were upwards of 150 people working on the Parkway. Over 500,000 man-hours were put in at project completion. In order to meet the project schedule, crews worked 6 days per week 10 hours a day for 12 months.
- 120,000 tons of rock was crushed on-site and used to produce the asphalt paving on the project.
- 2,400 tons of asphalt was laid per day. That equals one lane over one mile.
- 1.3 cubic million yards of rock were excavated in the deepest cut. The deepest cut made was 220 feet deep.
- Over 150 acres of land were seeded for re-vegetation.
- The biggest area filled with earth from the excavation included 860,000 cubic yards of rock. 330 feet above existing ground.
- Over 3 million pounds of explosives were used to build the Parkway.
- Over 2 miles of storm drainage pipe was installed on the project.
- Approximately 8 miles of guardrail was installed on the project.
- Approximately 3 miles of concrete barrier was installed on the project.
